Obtaining structural parameters of cerium-doped lanthanum cobaltites from X-ray diffraction pattern modeling

Abstract In this work, structural parameters of lanthanum cobaltites doped with cerium atomic concentration 1%, 3%, and 5 %, synthesized using the sol-gel method considering calcination temperature 900 °C, were estimated from modeling X-ray diffraction patterns samples. Modeling experimental is carried out Rietveld refinement implemented Fullprof-Suite program. Estimation crystallite sizes obtained peak modeling, X powder program, Scherrer equation Williamson-Hall plots, Lorentzian Pseudo Voigt line profiles, are also performed. Additionally, compounds characterized by scanning electron microscopy. The identified phase for samples corresponds to hexagonal perovskite structure R 3 ¯ mathvariant="normal">c (# 167) space group, size in range 38 nm 56 nm. general, significant changes due doping not evidenced.
